Hanz Von Kliest CEO of Umbrella Pharmaceuticals

Hanz had been sitting in his office reviewing some files of reported side effects of the newest Pharmaceuticals that had been made by his people and it brought a smile to his face as he read one report were it drove a man crazy and he slaughtered his whole family before killing himself. Hanz was a weird man he was born in Frankfurt Germany. He had a normal childhood yet as he grew older and came into his own in the Umbrella Corporation people began to notice the sinster and dark side of Hanz Von Kliest. When he finally took over as CEO of Pharmaceuticals he turned the once good part of Umbrella towards the darkside. Yet each time the Pharmaceuticals came under fire. Hanz was smart enough to take the fire and redirect it as side effects happen from time to time and everyone understood that at first yet as time went on the frequent occurances began to raise suspicions and so forth but Hanz so far has keep the eyes off of him and had them pointed in another direction.

After finishing the files he sat them down and turned on the tv in his office and began to watch the world news as some liberals and conservatives discussed the Umbrella Corporation and so forth. They dicussed the pros and cons of the company and so far it seemed the Cons were outweighing the Pros. He knew this wasn't going to be good for the company and that his recent deboches were only going to add to the fire. He needed to get his speech prepared for Doms so he could address the people when it came time to.

Katherine Bohem

Katherine Bohem was...and perhaps still is the Executive Assistant to Lord Spencer. She had started working with him when she was 10 years old. He'd helped her when her family had been slain in the Amazon. She had been in his care when it happened and he just took her under his wing. When she graduated at 16 from college with his help, she took over as his Assistant. When she finally proved herself he made her his Executive Assistant, his right hand man.

When Lord Spencer disappeared, her possition was eliminated. She had been fired and had gone off to work in the Private Sector. Until a year and a half ago when she was brought on board the UC as a Specialized Consultant. She just showed up one day in the data base, showed up with an office and access to everywhere in the company.

Did people ask questions? Yes but their answers were never given. They just accepted it like most everything else they were told. There were times though now that she had been there a while, rumors started to surface. People would get scared when she showed up. She was involved in many behind door meetings and usually it ended with someone...tranfering. Usually never to be heard from again.

Right now, Katherine stood infront of Dr. Von Kliest's office. Her black suit pristine. Pressed and startched she looked feminine yet, she looked like if you pissed her off she'd slice your heart out and feed it to your children.

Knocking on his door she waited for him to answer. They had alot to talk about.

Hanz Von Kliest

Von Kliest heard the knock on his door and he looked to it and rose a brow for a moment as he decided whether or not he really wanted to answer that but finally he turned the tv off and rose from his seat and made his way over to the door. He placed his hand on the knob turned it and opened the door spotting Miss Bohem and he nodded and smiled to her as she stood there opening the door all the way and stepping back to let her in.

"AH well hello there Miss Bohem. Please come in"

Once she stepped in he would close the door behind her and then turn looking to her. His mind pondering on what she might be here for. He doubted that he was in line for transfer. After all Von Kliest was good at what he did but you never really knew with the UC. One day you could make them smile and the next your ass was missing. Thats just the way the Corp worked. Yet Von Kliest was not scared for he had his safety measures that he would take to make sure he was never forgotten. Thats where he was smart. He made the UC want to keep him. Being within this company was like a game of chess you always had to try and stay one step ahead at all times. Once the door was closed he would move back over to his desk and take a seat after motioning her to a chair.

"Ah what did I do to get the pleasure of your visit my dear. I do hope you aren't here to scorn me"

He smiled as he watched her taking a glass from his desk and the water pitcher and pouring her a glass of water and refilling his cup as he slide her the cup.

Katherine Bohem

Katherine walked in, she didn't have the usual things with her. The scary black breifcase was no where to be seen. It was just her. She walked over to the chair and sat down shaking her head at the water. "The pleasure, that is usually not something that is used in connection to my name Dr. Von Kliest. No, I'm not here to scorn you just admonish you."

She smiled and leaned forward in her chair. "Dr. Von Kliest...I'm here to simply tell you that we'd like you to...ease back on your experiments. Your testings shall we say. You've got a lot of heat breathing down our necks and well, it's not something we like. We have our PR department spinning your....failures so fast that they need time to breath before you start with another three headed mouse that is caught on someone's smuggled cell phone."

She looked at him, she didn't judge him, she was simply a mouth piece for her "boss". "Do we have an understanding Doctor? Can we expect your full help?"

As she spoke to him and made the joke that pleasure was not usually used in connection with her name he smiled and then it disappeared as she began to tell him that he should slow down and ease back. That was two words that Von Kliest didn't like very much but he nodded to her as he listened to the reasons and he would slow down or appear that he would slow down. Everyone knew that Von Kliest was the master at showing you his hand but not really. He was a master of deception and so forth. I mean after all his climb to where he was. Well one could say it wasn't the cleanest of climbs.

"I understand Miss Bohem. I do apologize for the heat I have caused yet you must understand unlike the other departments we in Pharmaceuticals have a fast paced schedule and to keep are heads above the water we must experiment with many different measures so that are consumers have the right cure for their aliment."

He smiled to her as he watched her and then nodded as she asked him if they had an understanding

"Yes we have an understanding and you can expect my full help as always."

Katherine Bohem

She tilted her head and looked at him. "Dr. Von Kliest, we understand that Pharmaceuticals is a important and up to the minute get ahead of the pack department. All we ask is that...your...studies be kept under a tighter quarantine. We...are asking you to update your security meassures. We're sure that you do not wish us to...help...in that area. We know how much you like the freedom allowed to you. We understand you would like to keep the ability to secure your facilities on your own without the parent company implimenting any new personel in your building."

She tilted her head down her eyes on him. She was letting him know that he was walking a fine line and that while he was important and they wanted to keep him happy, they were still the ones in control and this was merely a hand slap and a reminder that he was an employee.

He listened to her and smiled as he nodded and took her words for what they were worth. He unlike a few others in the company played his role and then did what he needed to do within the rules bending them at times but never breaking them to get what he wanted done. Yet a small smirk appeared on his face when she said that the parent company was thinking of getting invovled. He would not allow that and they knew that to take control from him they would do what they would have to do and well that would mean Von Kliest laying dead somewere and he knew the UC would do just that. So that was why he nodded and smiled as he spoke again.

"I understand Miss Bohem I will complie and have my people working on stricter measures. I assure the Parent Company knows that taking control from me means only one thing and well since you don't have your normal things I will not allow us to go down that path."

He smiled to her as he sipped his water and looked to her watching her as he she was always to the point and so serious. He wondered if the woman ever took time to read a book or do something other than look so serious and be business all the time.

Katherine Bohem

She nodded and shifted. "Very good, we appreciate all your hard work, your efforts into making this world the...correct vision." She raised a brow as he looked at her and wondered what he was thinking, but didn't ask. She stood though and reached into her blazer inside pocket and pulled out a silver envelope. These were the good envelopes.

"We take care of our employees." She said laying the envelope on his desk. Inside would be a bonus a cool million. Tax free of course. "Inside you will find a gesture of our appreciation for all your hard work Dr. Von Kliest. You will also find your personal invitation to the Board of Directors Ball. As you know it is in two weeks, our way of letting everyone enjoy a night of music, food, and conversation. The awards will be held after the dinner, the music and party held after that."

She looked down to the envelope then looked back up at him. "I look forward to seeing you there Dr. Von Kliest." It was the first time she used the word I in reference to him. Most of the time she spoke as if she and the company were one. This was the first personal thing she'd said to him.
